Product attributes define how an attribute can be used to create product variations. It can be cost, color, material, size, weight,… You can use the default product attributes that Magento 2 provides, or create your own product attributes for specific product requirements.
Deleting a product attribute can affect the products you are selling that use that attribute, which will greatly affect your store’s business. Especially for stores with 2 or more admin user accounts, mistaken deletion is very likely to happen.
Steps To Remove Delete Attribute Option From Product Attribute
1. Access to your Magento 2 database.
2. Choose eav_attribute table.
3. Inside the eav_attribute table find the name of the attribute you want to remove delete attribute option. In this example, I use the activity attribute.
4. Search for is_user_defined and set it to 0.
Go back to Admin Panel, go to STORE > Attributes > Product, and choose the product attribute you performed. You can see Delete Attribute button has been removed.
