How To Get Google Maps API Key
Using Google maps on your website requires Google Maps Credentials. In this post, I will guide you on How To Get Google Maps API Key.
Steps To Get Google Maps API Key
1. Go to the Google Cloud Console.
2. Create a project (If you already have a project, skip this step)
Choose “Select a project“.

Next, choose “NEW PROJECT“.

Enter your Project name and choose CREATE button.

3. Add Maps JavaScript API and Places API from Library.
Choose Library.

Find Maps JavaScript API, Places API and enable them.



4. Get Google Maps API Credentials
Choose Credentials.

Next, select CREATE CREDENTIALS -> API key.

Select RESTRICT KEY.

In the Application restrictions section, choose the application according to your needs. If this API Key use for the website, select HTTP referrers (web sites).

In the Website restrictions, you can add your website URL to use only for 1 page, or if left blank, the API key will be used for all websites.
In the API restrictions section, select Restrict key and choose Maps JavaScript API, Places API.

When complete, choose the SAVE button.

Click to copy icon to get Google Maps API Key.
