E-commerce stores often partner with shipping partners in the delivery of products. Therefore, information related to transportation must be communicated to the shipping partner. This smooths everything out, makes shipping more efficient, and enhances the customer’s buying experience.
Shipment comments are also useful for sending order tracking information such as order IDs. Magento 2 merchants can submit shipment comments via Email.
Steps To Configure Shipment Comments In Magento 2
1. Log in to Admin Panel.
2. On the Admin Panel sidebar, go to Stores > Settings > Configuration.
3. In the left panel, choose SALES > Sales Emails.
4. Expand the Shipment Comments section.
5. Configuring Shipment Comments.
- Enabled: Set it to Yes if you want to send the shipment comment email to customers.
- Shipment Comment Email Sender: Select the email sender of the Shipment Comment Email.
- Shipment Comment Email Template: Select the template to be sent of the Shipment Comment Email.
- Shipment Comment Email Template for Guest: Select the template to be sent to the customers that have not registered to your store
- Send Shipment Comment Email Copy To: Enter the multiple email addresses to whom you want to send a shipment comment email copy. Note: Separate email addresses with a comma.
- Send Shipment Comments Email Copy Method: Select the copy method you want to send shipment comments email.
- Bcc (Blind carbon copy).
- Separate Email.
6. When complete, click Save Config button.
